Beginner's Guide

Go from zero to a fully configured store in 5 steps and get productive with KunnPOS fast

Step 1: Understand the system

KunnPOS has three parts: the POS app, the cloud back office, and the mobile app. Spend about 10 minutes learning how each fits before you configure anything.

1

POS terminal

Installed on the checkout device for daily sales, receipts, and member lookup.

2

Cloud back office

Browser-based tools for products, reports, staff permissions, and promotions.

3

Mobile app

Check live sales, stock alerts, and member stats anywhere — ideal for owners on the go.

Step 2: Set up store information

Sign in to the cloud back office and complete the store basics below.

1

Store profile

Name, address, phone, and hours — these appear on printed receipts.

2

Upload store logo

PNG/JPG recommended, 200×200 or larger. Printed at the top of receipts.

3

Tax ID (optional)

Add your business tax number if receipts need to show it.

Tips
  • Changing the official store name later may require support — enter it carefully.
  • Keep logos under 2MB; transparent PNG looks best on receipts.

Step 3: Add staff accounts

Create accounts for your team and assign the right permission level.

1

Create staff profiles

Name, mobile number (login ID), and department.

2

Set permission levels

Built-in roles: Cashier (sales only), Supervisor (sales + refunds), Store Manager (full ops), Owner (includes financial reports).

3

Set a personal PIN

Staff enter a 4-digit PIN at the register to keep accounts secure.

Step 4: Add products

Product data powers the whole system — use Excel bulk import when you can.

1

Download the product template

From Products in the back office, download the Excel template and fill in name, barcode, price, category, and more.

2

Bulk import

Upload the file; the system validates and imports. Thousands of SKUs take only minutes.

3

Review and complete

Check images and categories after import and fill any gaps.

Tips
  • Barcodes must be unique — duplicates will error.
  • Plan your category tree early; deep changes later are harder.
  • For weighed items, choose the “Weighed product” type.

Step 5: Test a full checkout

Before go-live, run one end-to-end test sale.

1

Scan test

Scan a few barcodes and confirm name and price on the POS.

2

Payment test

Complete a test sale with card/QR and cash to confirm the flow.

3

Print test

Check receipt layout, store info, and logo.

4

Void the test order

Refund/void the test order in the back office to reset.
